Description

Close-up view of a Blanket Flower (Gaillardia aristata). When it blooms in June, the flowers are yellow with red surrounding the middle. This specimen was found on the Woodworth station, on a prairie hillside in Chase Lake National Wildlife Refuge in North Dakota.
