Place Dupuis L’œuvre colorée a été imaginée par deux créateurs montréalais en design d’animation (motion design) qui ont le vent dans les voiles, Gabriel Poirier-Galarneau et Vincent Bilodeau. « Notre intention était de créer une toile visuelle et sonore qui évoque Montréal ainsi que des moments qui ont marqué son histoire, et cela, sans recourir à des procédés narratifs ou didactiques, indique Gabriel Poirier-Galarneau. À partir d’une sélection d’images parmi les plus inspirantes, nous avons conçu des tableaux graphiques texturés. Le résultat est un collage animé et humoristique, un peu fou. » Les créateurs ont effectué un travail de recherche colossal en épluchant des milliers de documents tirés des archives de Montréal et du Musée McCord, de 1920 à aujourd’hui. On verra donc des images de la silhouette de Montréal, de Terre des Hommes, du mont Royal, du Red Light, des Canadiens et du métro, sans oublier quelques personnages qui ont marqué l’histoire de la ville – de Wilfrid Pelletier à Denis Coderre, en passant par les deux Jean, Drapeau et Doré – dans des mises en scène décalées.<a href="http://www.quartierdesspectacles.com/fr/medias/9xmtl" rel="nofollow">www.quartierdesspectacles.com/fr/medias/9xmtl</a> |
