English: THIS IS THE FAMOUS GOLF WINDOW - SAID TO BE THE OLDEST IMAGES KNOWN OF THE GAME OF GOLF. - HOWEVER THIS WINDOW WAS COMMISSIONED BY SIR THOMAS BROADSTONE TO COMMEMORATE HIS COMRADES WHO FOUGHT AT CRECY (1346) AND AT THE SIEGE OF CALAIS (1347) AND IS DATED TO 1350 ? WHICH IS 50 YEARS BEFORE ANY MENTION OF GOLF IS WRITTEN IN THE SCOTTISH GOLF RECORD
Deutsch: Das ist das berühmte Golf-Fenster - es soll sich um die älteste bekannte Abbildung des Golf-Spiels handeln. Das Fenster soll von Sir Thomas Broadstone in Auftrag gegeben worden sein, um seine Kameraden zu ehren, die in der Schlacht von Crecy (1346) und bei der Belagerung von Calais (1347) kämpften.
