Türkçe: Bu, Gıyasettin Yılmaz'ın bir fotoğrafıdır. 1938'de Kekeç, Selim, Kars'ta doğan güreşçi, 1961 yılında askerlik görevini yaparken Jandarma Gücü Spor Kulübü'nün dikkatini çekmiş, sonrasında milli takıma seçilmiştir. 1976 yılına kadar da güreşin önemli isimleri arasına girmeyi başarmıştır. 200'ün üstünde milli olan sporcu, 1970–1974 yılları arasında milli takım kaptanlığı yapmıştır. 1964 Tokyo Olimpiyatları, 1968 Meksiko Olimpiyatları ve 1972 Münih Olimpiyatlarına katılmıştır. 15 sene boyunca çeşitli karşılaşmalarda muhtelif dereceler kazanmıştır; 1970 Dünya Şampiyonasında 3.lük, 1970 Avrupa Şampiyonasında 2.lik, 3 defa Balkan Şampiyonluğu ve 3 defa da Akdeniz Oyunları Şampiyonluğu kazanmıştır.
Spor yaptığı dönemlerde güçlü fiziği ile her zaman dikkatleri üzerine toplayan sporcu, şu an Ankara’da mütevazı hayatını sürdürmektedir. |
