English: Saw this beaut full moon setting over the He Ara Kotahi Bridge, Manawatu River, but in the short time it took me to park my car and get to this spot the clouds had arrived!
Taken from the Okatia Steps, built by Horizons Regional Council as part of the city's flood protection work. They're designed to enhance their surrounds and allow safe public access to the river. The steps are named after Okatia, a taniwha Rangitāne believe guards the river. (Some blur in the trees - it was quite breezy!) |
