Title
English: Front part of the hall chamber
Description
English:

360 panoramic image of a small, unpainted colonial room. On the floor are a spinning wheel, yarn winder, and several lanterns.

This room was originally much larger, the same size as the tavern room directly below it. However, in 1756, the same year Ephraim and Elizabeth Hartwell opened their tavern, they built a wall that partitioned off the front third of the room. We don't know why they did this but the speculation is that they did so as a place for their overnight guests to sleep.
