Description
A view of the outdoor sculpture, "From Out of the Past - Brilliant New Future" by Melvin Edwards. It was made of brushed stainless steel on a brick base. It was installed in 1982 in front of the Mt. Vernon Plaza. The piece was commissioned for the Mt. Vernon Focal Point Park and was said to be symbolic of the neighborhood's efforts at revitalization.
