Frinton-on-Sea: Kirby Brook and signs

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Frinton-on-Sea: Kirby Brook and signs Kirby Brook is a short watercourse that rises to the west of Frinton-on-Sea and presumably, prior to the construction of the sea defence arrangements, used to drain directly out into the sea from there. Now it is re-directed in this channel to join Holland Brook such that all the local surface water run-off in this catchment area can drain out to the sea through one sluice in the sea defence. The footpath and black and white posts referred to on the sign are behind the photographer in this view. Both this sign and the leaning concrete one are clearly visible on the satellite imagery currently available on the "Where's the path?" website https://wtp2.appspot.com/wheresthepath.htm
