Fridel Engert née Meyer (1904–1982), known to the public at that time as Fridel Meyer and in later years as Fridel Dalling-Hay, having set out in her kayak from Westminster, London, England, with the intention of circumnavigating the UK. Here she stands on the deck of the Lowestoft lifeboat Agnes Cross after she had rescued her husband whose canoe had capsized. Note: A full attempt has been made, via libraries, books, magazines, collections, archives, internet etc., to establish the name of the author. None has been found. |
