Description A variety of mostly fresh foodstuff is on sale in the LP Morning Market. There are very few stalls per se, most of the vendors spread their goods out on the street on plastic sheets or bamboo mats as seen here. This lady is selling a variety of fresh vegetales like pumpkin, banana flowers, pumpkins etc. and fruit like bananas. The pile of green in front of her is seaweed. Not sea weed as in weed from the sea- Laos is a land locked country. This is retreived from the Mekong, and is used by the locals in a wide variety of dishes like soups, curries etc. (Luang Prabang, Laos/ Lao PDR, April 2014)
