Famous French Market, New Orleans, Louisiana. Early 20th century postcard view.

Text on back:
"OLD HISTORICAL FRENCH MARKET, NEW ORLEANS, LA. Note the antiquadated Spanish road of large stone blocks. Th e older part of the Market building was erected in 1791. It was enlarged to its present size in 1813. In the Early Colonial days under Spanish domination the site was an Indian Trading point."
