Català: Frederic Marès i Deulovol (Portbou 1893 - Barcelona 1991). Escultor. Artista polifacètic modernista, que va iniciar les restauracions de les tombes reials del Monestir de Poblet. Va reunir una gran col·lecció d'art que el va portar a la creació del museu que porta el seu nom al 1946, que posteriorment va donar a l'Ajuntament de Barcelona. Va rebre la Creu de Sant Jordi el 1982. De les seves obres, destaca el relleu "L'enterrament de Crist" a l'església de Santa Maria del Mar de Barcelona.

Er baute eine große Kunstsammlung auf, die 1946 zur Gründung des nach ihm benannten Museums führte. Dieses Museum vermachte er später der Stadt Barcelona. Er erhielt 1982 das Creu de Sant Jordi. Von seinen Werken sticht das Relief "Grablegung Christi" in der Kirche Santa Maria del Mar in Barcelona hervor. |
