Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Photograph no. 0202 by Frederick Christian Palmer of Swindon (d.1941), of the post office on Oare Hill (today's A345), at Oare, Wiltshire, England. The post office is today a private house opposite the White Hart public house. A telephone pole in the same position exists outside the old post office, with a later added post box, although the tiled roof house behind it, doesn't. The front gardens today are separated from the road by a raised metalled pavement. The post and rail picket fence has been replaced by a low brick wall.
