Description
Deutsch: Die Statue des Franz von Assisi wurde 1934 vom österreichischen Bildhauer Josef Josephu für den damals neu geschaffenen Vogelschutzpark des Lainzer Tiergartens geschaffen. 1982 übersiedelte die Statue zum 800. Geburtstag des Heiligen an den ehemaligen Standort von Tierschutz Austria am Khleslplatz. Den Grund für den Umzug weiß heute niemand mehr so genau. 2022 wurde die Skulptur restauriert und an ihren Ursprungsort zurückgebracht ([1]).
