Description
The Danish Hussar Regiment was formed in 1762. After some name changes it became Gardehusarregimentet (Guard Hussar Regiment) in 1856 and has existed since. It is now a mechanized infantry regiment, but retains a squadron of hussars for ceremonial and police duties, typically connected to events involving the Royal Family of Denmark.
