Description
Čeština: František Kotrba (* ???? – 21. července 1942 Ouběnice) byl učitel, za Protektorátu Čechy a Morava byl zapojen do protiněmeckého odboje. Jeho manželkou byla učitelka, odbojářka Marie Kotrbová (* 26. ledna 1904 Praha Žižkov – 24. října 1942 KT Mauthausen). Po zatčení gestapem byl při výslechu František Kotrba donucen k prozrazení místa pobytu MUDr. Břetislava Lyčky (1903–1942), jenž byl podporovatelem výsadku Anthropoid. Po vyzrazení spolupráce s parašutisty zanechal Břetislav Lyčka večer v úkrytu u architekta Vladislava Čalouna svou ženu a uprchl do jiného bytu. Břetislav Lyčka se skrýval v domku v Ouběnicích. Dne 21. července 1942 přivezlo gestapo Františka Kotrbu do Ouběnic a poslalo jej do domku, kde měl vyjednat Lyčkovu kapitulaci. Místo kapitulace se František Kotrba a Břetislav Lyčka ve sklepě domku v obklíčení gestapem zastřelili.
English: František Kotrba (* ???? - 21 July 1942 Ouběnice) was a teacher, during the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia he was involved in the anti-German resistance. His wife was a teacher, resistance fighter Marie Kotrbová (* 26 January 1904 Prague Žižkov - 24 October 1942 KT Mauthausen). After being arrested by the Gestapo, during interrogation František Kotrba was forced to reveal the whereabouts of MUDr. Břetislav Lyčka (1903-1942), who was a supporter of the Anthropoid paratroopers. After revealing his collaboration with the paratroopers, Břetislav Lyčka left his wife in the evening in the shelter of the architect Vladislav Čalouna and fled to another apartment. Břetislav Lyčka hid in a house in Ouběnice. On 21 July 1942, the Gestapo brought František Kotrba to Ouběnice and sent him to the house where he was to negotiate Lyčka's surrender. Instead of surrendering, František Kotrba and Břetislav Lyčka shot each other in the cellar of the house, surrounded by the Gestapo.
