English: Baptismal certificate of František Křižík (1847–1941), an electrotechnician and inventor, who was born into a family of a shoemaker Václav Křižík in Plánice (the Klatovy district today). The baptismal certificate is a part of the archival fond František Křižík Collection which further includes correspondence, personal documents of Křižík’s wife, and so on.(State Regional Archives in Prague, Collection František Křižík, Engineer, Doctor of Technology honoris causa, sign. 1/2, box 2.)
Čeština: Křestní list Františka Křižíka (1847–1941), elektrotechnika a vynálezce, někdy označovaného jako český Edison, se vypracoval z pomocného dělníka v pražské elektromechanické dílně na nezávislého konstruktéra a podnikatele. Během svého života mj. vybudoval na 130 elektráren, instaloval na Jubilejní výstavě v Praze (1891) světelnou fontánu a první elektrickou dráhu (Letná – Královská obora), zastával mnoho hospodářských a veřejných funkcí a získal řadu ocenění na domácích i zahraničních výstavách.(SOA v Praze, Sbírka František Křižík, Ing., Dr. Technických věd H.
