Craigie House
Nov 5th
Dear Annie,
I send you a pair of enamel sleeve-buttons which I thought simple & pretty - & which may be a little variety from your usual fair.
It is very difficult to find any thing quiet enough for your nun-like dress, - but these are so [p. 2] small I hope you wont think them too gay. I have ventured to get a cap for Aunt Lucia, but very much fear she will not put it on, but it was as well as I could do, & perhaps you can alter it in some way to suit her better.
If I had known just her style I could have [p. 3] had one made, but do not remember just how she wears them.
We shall be greatly interested to hear about the wedding, & are very glad a house is so comfortably provided for the happy pair. I do not know the precise day, so send these things in good season.
I hope Annie will like [p. 4] her pitcher. It was the prettiest shape in the shop, & is always a useful thing.
With much love to her, if she has returned, & to Aunt Lucia
ever yrs afffly
Fanny E.L.
