Summary
[edit]DescriptionFort «Furggels» - Elevator Motor Room (5954439624).jpg |
This part of the fortress can be reached only by a ladder and is not accessible for visitors. A rawly vertical tunnel with ladders leads further from here up to a bunker named «Pilz» (mushroom). This shaft was used during construction for the transport of concrete and material down into the tunnels. On top there was a stationary concrete plant. The elevator runs 19 m between the upper and the lower level. The stairwell beside the elevator has 118 steps.
