Deutsch: Überreste der ehemaligen Reifen- und Gummiproduktefabrik der Continental AG, Werk Limmer, auf der Kanal-Halbinsel in Hannover-Limmer. Das Gelände soll in ein Wohngebiet umgewandelt werden, die Wasserstadt Limmer. Die vom Abriss verschonten Fabrikhallen und der Wasserturm stehen unter Denkmalschutz. English: Remains of the former tire and rubber products factory of Continental AG, site Limmer (Hannover, Germany). The plant was located on a peninsula formed by two canals. The site is in a state of transformation into a housing area, named Wasserstadt Limmer (=water town Limmer). The buildings spared by demolition are protected by their status as cultural heritage (including the water tower). |
