| Description |
English: Built in 1920, this Classical Revival-style building was constructed as a rear annex onto the Delmar-Harvard School, which was constructed in 1913. The building served as an elementary school until 2011, when declining enrollment forced its closure. The original Delmar-Harvard School building, built in 1913, was demolished in 2020-2021 to make way for a proposed hotel, with the site, as of 2023, still sitting vacant. The Harvard building has a U-shaped two-story wing wrapping around a one-story assembly hall with large windows, and features an orange brick exterior, a rough-hewn stone base, double-hung windows of varying types, limestone trim, ionic pilasters at the gymnasium/auditorium wing, and stone surrounds with arched pediments at the entrance doors. |
