Description
Svenska: Tankbil av märket Fordson Sussex, tillverkades 1936 i Storbritannien. Inköptes till Bromma flygplats invigning 1936-05-24. Tankkapaciteten ansågs tillräcklig för den tidens trafikflygplan. Dock hade detta 11 år senare ändrats, och den blev ersatt av andra, större fordon. I likhet med många andra flygplatsfordon, är denna tankbil oregistrerad. Detta på grund av att fordonet endast avsågs användas inom inhägnat område. Tankbilen kom att användas på flygplatserna i Kiruna och Visby, innan den 1967 skänktes av Svenska Shell till de Luftfartshistoriska samlingarna.
English: The Fordson Sussex tanker was manufactured in 1936 in Great Britain. Purchased for Bromma Airport inauguration 1936-05-24. The tank capacity was considered sufficient for the commercial aircraft of that time. However, this had changed 11 years later, and it was replaced by other, larger vehicles. Like many other airport vehicles, this tanker is unregistered. This is because the vehicle was only intended to be used within a fenced area. The tanker came to be used at the airports in Kiruna and Visby, before it was donated by Svenska Shell to the Aviation History Collections in 1967.
