Description
English: Semi-abandoned Fordson Major tractor, 1 km east of Tolleshunt d'Arcy. This Fordson Major (also called Fordson New Major), probably built 1952-1958, is unusual for its time by not having rubber tyres and having a cab (possibly a retrofit).

I concluded it is a Fordson Major by comparing with other photos and a sales brochure[1], though the front grill must be non-standard, not from any indication on the tractor.

Its UK registration number, on the rear, is "840 DVF". It has "T1 683F-6015BA" cast on the lower left of the engine block, and a (diesel) Minimec Injector Pump, but I have not found a way of identifying it from that.

From Google Earth imagery it has probably been left in this location since 2006.
