  • Identification by: User:MPF, who comments, "It isn't a fungus I'm familiar with, but I looked it up in Diseases of Pacific Coast Conifers (USDAFS Agric Handbook 521), and I think you've got it right; they give a description "Fruiting body pendant, woody, perennial, often hoof-shaped structure, with a chalky surface" that fits very well, as does the photo in the link you found."[1]
