Deutsch: Sendemodul eines FMCW-Radar-Höhenmessers (Sowjetunion ca. 1973)
English: Microwave cavity from the transmitter module of a FMCW radar altimeter (Soviet Union circa 1973). (SK) the microwave cavity resonant at the output frequency. Inside the cavity is a high frequency coaxial triode vacuum tube (ST) which functions as an oscillator to generate the microwaves. The cover of the cavity has the tube's anode contact, and a motor (M) which rotates capacitive plates (S) projecting into the cavity to vary the output frequency for frequency modulation. (Bottom) cavity assembled. |
