English: Flying Scotsman
The photograph is of the locomotive Flying Scotsman leaving Scarborough Central station and was taken from the road bridge connecting Belgrave Terrace (to the right) with Westwood (seen on the left). The small crowd on the right is standing at the end of platform 1 beyond which can be seen, with fewer people standing on it Platform 1a. Platform 1a used to be the depart/arrival platform for the Whitby trains.
