English: On the Ghats on the banks of the Ganges, thousands of people gather for the festival of Kartika Purnima. While the bodies and colors of thousands of Indian men and women blend in a propitiatory bath in the Ganges, boys of all ages, from dusk to dawn, cross the Ghats distributing garlands of flowers (Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India)
