Summary
[edit]DescriptionFlood level, Museum of the Gorge, Ironbridge.jpg |
Inside the Museum of the Gorge, Ironbridge. The red line at the top of the windows indicates the height of the highest flood. The warehouse was built for storage of goods over the Summer, before shipping down the Severn, when the river was too low for shipping. As the floods occurred in Winter-Spring, the warehouse would have been largely empty at the time. |
