English: Flood at Crosshill The Water of Girvan often floods during the winter months, bringing water close to the buildings in King Street. This photograph, taken from the Royal Hotel car park, shows how the river finds its previous course by filling up the old ox-bow lakes. It contrasts well with the peaceful scene shown in the first geograph for the square. |
