Amanda Vasquez, with Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, renders a salute during the presentation of the colors at "Fight Night for Heroes," the first ever mixed martial arts fights held in Iraq, at Forward Operating Base Marez, in Mosul, Iraq, Sept. 5, 2009. The event, sponsored by Xtreme Couture G.I. Foundation, featured mostly active duty military members with 17 fights on the card and over 1,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and civilians in attendance. See more at www.army.mil/. |
