June 16, 2006 Militants in a Palestinian vehicle attempted to kidnap two Israeli civilians at gunpoint near the Rehalim junction, south of Nablus. The civilians managed to escape, and after blocking off Route 60, IDF forces were able to apprehend the vehicle. In it were three Palestinians with a loaded gun in the vehicle.
