Title
Finger ring
Description
English: a copper-alloy finger-ring, with square integrally cast raised bezel, which has moulded decoration/seal matrix? Representing a double domed church, the shoulders are sub-triangular in plan and taper to the hoop which has been squashed out of shape. When oriented with the bezel uppermost and the 'church' domes facing away, the shoulders are decorated with very corroded and indistinct engraved geometric 'lozenge' designs, interspersed with acanthus leaves. The right shoulder has a moulded zoomorphic figure, possibly a lamb in profile with its head facing away from the observer. The ring is very light and probably has quite a high tin content.
