Title
Finger ring
Description
English: Post-medieval gold posy ring. A very thin flat band inscribed on the interior with 'content is a treasure'. Makers marks seriphed PE in a rectangle. The hoop is slightly squashed.

Dimensions: Length: 17 mm; Width: 22 mm; Weight: 1.37 g Discussion: a similar mark recorded in Grimwade (1976, pp. 158), recorded as William Pearson, small worker entered 1704. If it is indeed this maker and if the ring was manufactured in the first eight years of the mark being entered then this ring would fall within the remit of the Treasure Act.
