English: Lead Alloy

Finger Ring. Cast vermiform or corrugated ring; a mould line suggests this was made in a two-part mould. Possibly an example of cheap base metal jewellery whose form would imitate that of 'real' and more expensive versions made from precious metal. Broken into two joining pieces. Suggested date: Medieval, 1250-1350.

Diameter: 21.2mm, Thickness: 2.3mm, Weight: 1.12gms.
