« TOUT L’OR DU KWATT, n’est pas un film, le projet s’inscrit dans la logique d’un archivage dynamique » Frank et Willy sont deux jeunes en échec scolaire, qui vivent avec leur père et sa nouvelle compagne. Leur quotidien est fait de performances et animations musicales dans les débits de boissons de leur arrondissement. Cette situation qui s’éternise devient l’objet d’un conflit avec leur père et les garçons n’ont qu’un rêve : s’affranchir de l’autorité de ce père à travers la pratique d’un registre musical marginal et populaire appelé Mbolé. Leur projet est celui d’une génération de jeunes de la ville de Yaoundé qui partagent cette aventure sur le chemin de l’industrie musicale locale...» Explique le réalisateur... |
