So I'm sitting in the dining hall on a Saturday afternoon when a friend shows up and starts talking about the big alumni gathering at the Tuck Business School. He casually mentions a Ferrari parked across campus in front of some undergrad dorms, not far from the business school. I'm not surprised. I'd spotted a a couple of Maseratis the day before and an R8(which I couldn't catch). The car spotter in me is naturally intrigued so I decide to go. I figure its probably a 360, maybe a 430 if I'm lucky. Either way it will look neat in my collection. I get there and what do I see? A 575M Superamerica, one of the rarest Ferraris of the decade(only 599 built) and at the time of its introduction the fastest convertible on earth. What are the chances? Needless to say, this not only made my day, it made my entire weekend. |
