English: Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Whitnie Vigil, of Mesa, Ariz., listen while Navy Lt. j.g. Meghan Burns, of St. Paul, Minn., and Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Carrie Felch, of Pensocola, Fla., discuss the seven steps of the Key Leader Engagement Cycle during the five-day Female Engagement Team training Course at Atterbury-Muscatatuck Training Center, Ind., April 9. The women will speak to and engage with Afghan women and children in Farah, Ghazni, and Uruzgan provinces with help from both Australian and Polish forces. The military teams are comprised of members of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, several senior members from the Interagency community (the U.S. Department of State, the Agency for International Development (USAID), Department of Agriculture, as well as several others), and a Security Force from the Battle Space Integrator in theater. |
