New, raw Englishwheat will scour young fowls and rapidly bringthem out of condition. It is generally thoughtthat the smaller varieties of maize are better forpoultry, but- the large flat American is the best,and the grain is not too large for adult fowl.Years ago we were able to buy American at lessmoney than Plate maize, but it is not so to-day,last weeks prices being Argentine 63s. to 64s.per qr. of 4801b., American 93s. to 94s., African83s. to 84s. At the relative prices I should use theArgentine as being the cheaper. George A. Palmer. AGDICULTUBE IN PARLIAMENT Mr. Bonar Law on Monday announced themeasures which the Government intended to carrythrough before the adjournment for the autumneession, and slated that the list included theFertilisers (Temporary Control of Export) Bill andthe Seeds Bill. Mr. Clynes a>skod what the intentions of theGovernment were concerning the Milk and DairiesBill, which he said was a measure of someimportance. Mr. Bonar Law said the Government had care-fully considered it,-and came to the conclusion that itwas one of those Bills which at this stage could notbe proceeded with. On Tuesday Sir A. Williamson, FinancialSecretary to the War Office, replying to Lieut.-Col.Parry, said it was not possible to say how long thehay now in the hands of the War Office would last.It Tvas true that it was stated in December, 1919,that the supply would not last beyond last April,but owing to the reduction that had since takenplace in the numbers of an
