THE NEW
IDEA
SEED SOWER.
THIS IS A NEW IDEA,
and we regret to say it came to hand too late
for proper classification. As can be seen from the
cut the gearing works in a worm shaft with only
one cog wheel which gives the nearest approach to
a ball bearing movement possitjle to construct.
Equipped with agitator and accurate seed gauge.
We have laid in a large stock of these and the Per-
fection, shown in the other cut, because we know
th.!y must sell. The price is such that it comes
within the reach of all, espe( i;ill\ in these times of
advancing prices. It is wonderful that a geared
machine can be made so cheap and ^ et do its work
so perfec^tly. Will sow accurately anv kind of
seed, also plaster, fertilizer, ashes, salt, etc
Price,
- $1.50
THE QHflfiriON
50D CUTTER
Price, $25.00.
THE PERFECTION
HAND
SEED SOWER.
I'his is practically the same
machine as the New Idea, and
does its work equally as well,
the only difference being in the
gearing which can be seen in
cut. The large cog wheel is 7
inches diameter and drives the
distributer by a small cog wheel
which is part of the distributer
It sows accurately any kind of
seed that can be "sown by the
"New Idea." E i t h e r of "these
machines will sow at a round,
from 20 to .50 feet according to
the weight of seed.
Price, $1.25
^^^AS A REVERSIBLE KNIFE. The
Tl^^ sides and bottom are made of one
II 1 piece of steel so that there are no
Mm»^ openings thatcan get cliokcil. .V Hol-
ler just over the knife regulati.'s the thickness
of the sod from one to two inches. The front
Roller works autoiiiatii ally. By bearingdown
on the handles and liltujg the lever, it swing:s
under the machine and takes the weight until
,\ ou are ready to cut again. In cutting, the two
rollers take the weight, thus pre\.'i.ting any
friction or injury to the grass. The(juide Shoe
is reversible and can be changed in a moment.
The back is left open so that the knife can be
cleaned without tia-iiing ox er the machine.
