duced on long, heavy stems, well above the foliage. The color of
this acquisition is a gorgeous wine-crimson. 35c each.

This variety is exceedingly free, carrying fairly large flowers on
very erect stems in great abundance; flowers early, and during

SOUVENIR DE GUSTAVE DOAZON — This varietv is a good compari-

color is a pleasing shade of orange-red. Flowers are full to the
center and often measure 9 inches and over in diameter; they can
be forced to measure over 12 inches. The plant is a very tall, vig-
orous grower with heavy, dark, glossy green foliage and a re-
markable constitution. Very long stems of pleasing, stiff, upright
type. Should be in every garden. 35c each.
W. W. RAWSON — The popularity which this novelty has acquired in
the short time it has been on the market, speaks for itself for the
superior quality of this flower. The petals toward the center are
quilled similar to the "Grand Duke Alexis"; toward the outer part
they are more open and flat. The color is pure white overlaid with
amethyst-blue. This w^onderful combination gives it the appear-
ance of delicate lavender. The flow^ers measure from 7 to 9 inches
in diameter. 50c each.

center. Altogether one of the best pinks of its type. $1.00 each.

seedlings, so good it is sure to become a favorite. Everyone who
saw it growing in our fields spoke admiringly of it. Named ex-
pressly for and with permission of President Warren G. Harding.
Six plants of it are to be grown on the White House Grounds this
year. Its flow^ers are exceptionally large, and each petal curves
gracefully, adding to its beauty. In color it is a pale golden
yellow, blending to sulphur yellow at the tips. The flowers are
well formed, with from five to six rows of petals, and show that
beautiful golden center, so characteristic of the Peony-flowered
