Afrikaans: Herfs is een van die vier seisoene waarin die jaar opgedeel word. Herfs volg na die somer en kom voor die winter. Gedurende die herfs word die dae korter en die nagte langer.
Meteorologies gesproke val die maande Maart, April en Mei in die herfs. Terwyl dit herfs in die Suidelike Halfrond is, is dit lente in die Noordelike Halfrond.
العربية: الخريف فصل من فصول السنة الأربعة في المناطق المعتدلة وهو يتبع الصيف ويليه الشتاء. توجد عدة تعاريف لفصل الخريف، منها ما هو فلكي، مناخي وتقويمي. ويمتد هذا الفصل في نصف الأرض الشمالي من أواخر الربع الثالث إلى قرب نهاية الربع الأخير، أما في نصف الكرة الجنوبي، فهو يبدأ مع نهاية الربع الأول ويمتد حتى أواخر الربع الثاني.

Português: O outono (AO 1945: Outono) (do latim autumnus) é a estação do ano que sucede ao verão e antecede o inverno. É caraterizado por queda na temperatura, e pelo amarelar e início da queda das folhas das árvores, que indica a passagem de estações (exceto nas regiões próximas ao equador).
Türkçe: Sonbahar veya güz, yaz ile kış mevsimleri arasındaki mevsimdir. Güz, Hazan ve Bağ bozumu isimleriyle de anılır. Kuzey yarım kürede Eylül, Ekim ve Kasım; güney yarım kürede ise, Mart, Nisan ve Mayıs aylarına denk gelir.
