English: Fair on the Yare. The Fair on the Yare takes place in the grounds of Claxton Manor > 1476631 Farm Estate and this year visitors were greeted by the display of a fire engine by the entrance gate. Further attractions were a group of Harrier Hounds from Dunstan Hall > 1476714 - The Factory Dancing Group > 1476697 - a Scarecrow Competition > 1476704 - displays by the Mink and Otter Man and the Great Yarmouth Wildfowling & Conservation Association > 1476719 to name only a few - along with demonstrations by a woodturner and by stonemason Nick Allhusen > 1476712. A number of stalls offered local produce, books and bric-a-brac > 1476701 and whilst a tea and cakes stand, a bar, barbecue and the ice cream stall catered for all tastes culinary, visitors could test their various skills at sideshows such as Coconut Shy, Stocks > 1476710 and Splat the Rat. |
