Deutsch: Eine Rechnung über Energiekonsum im November 2018, mit erzieherischer Preisstaffelung. 
   0 –  100 kWh  0.09 ₱ × 100 =   9.00 ₱  (0,31 €)
 101 –  150 kWh  0.30 ₱ ×  50 =  15.00 ₱  (0,52 €)
 151 –  200 kWh  0.40 ₱ ×  50 =  20.00 ₱  (0,69 €)
 201 –  250 kWh  0.60 ₱ ×  50 =  30.00 ₱  (1,05 €)
 251 –  300 kWh  0.80 ₱ ×  50 =  40.00 ₱  (1,05 €)
 301 –  350 kWh  1.50 ₱ ×  50 =  75.00 ₱  (2,61 €)
 351 –  500 kWh  1.80 ₱ × 150 = 270.00 ₱  (9,41 €)
 501 – 1000 kWh  2.00 ₱ × 500 =1000.00 ₱ (34,86 €)

Im November 2018 sind laut der Zählerablesung 223 kWh elektrische Energie verbraucht worden.
Gemäß der Staffelbepreisung sind dafür 57.80 kubanische Pesos (ein Peso entspricht 0,03486 €) also 2,00 € zu bezahlen.
(In Deutschland kosteten 223 kWh bei einem ungestaffelten Preis von 0,30 €/kWh 66,90 € (plus Grundgebühr-Pauschale.)

Während der kubanische Staffelpreis maximal 5 Pesos/kwh erreicht, entspricht der deutsche Preis ca. 9 Pesos.
