Fachada do Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social (INSS) - Previdência Social

O Senado deve acompanhar a tramitação da proposta de reforma da Previdência junto à Câmara dos Deputados, ainda antes de o projeto chegar para a análise dos senadores. O presidente do Senado informou que deve formar uma comissão especial para fazer o acompanhamento por entender que a reforma é urgente e por ter o sentimento de que os senadores vão priorizar o tema neste início de legislatura.

Por se tratar de proposta de emenda à Constituição (PEC), a reforma da Previdência precisa do apoio mínimo de três quintos dos parlamentares: 308 dos 513 deputados e 49 dos 81 senadores. Se a proposta for aprovada em dois turnos na Câmara, segue para o Senado, onde também será submetida a dois turnos de votação.
