La fuente consiste en una gran taza oblonga, es decir de ejes desiguales, en cuyo centro y sobre un pedestal yace semirrecostado, o sea con el torso en una inclinación acentuada, un varón barbado que representa al río Turia, recuerdo lejano, pero evidente, de las plasmaciones helenísticas, del Nilo y, romanas del Tíber. Aquí, el personaje fluvial sostiene, y se apoya a su vez en él, un gran cuerno de la abundancia, desbordante de frutos, propio de la antigua emblemática de Valencia. A su alrededor, en sendos pedestales de sección semicircular, figuran ocho niñas o adolescentes desnudas, con peinado y peineta de labradora valenciana; todas con un cántaro del que mana agua, y que representan las ocho acequias del Turia Escultor : M.
