FRAM - Émile RIET, item 1
Description
Français : Émile RIET (de la classe 1909) est né le 12 janvier 1889 à Boissy-Maugis(Orne) et s'installe dans le pavillon n°5 de la cité de Bitray commune de Châteauroux, juste après guerre, avec Jeanne LACORRE sa femme et Germaine sa fille. Il s'installera un peu plus tard dans une maison rue du Fontchoir-Prolongée. Il était télégraphiste aux Postes Télégraphes et Téléphones (PTT). Émile RIET est incorporé au 103e RI puis du 303e RI. Il est décoré de la Croix de guerre avec étoile de bronze en se portant volontaire pour secourir des blessés sous le feu de l'ennemi. Il est fait prisonnier le 26 février 1916 à Riaville (Meuse) et partira au camp d'Hammelburg. Il participa à la construction du monument aux morts des prisonniers de guerre d'Hammelburg.
