Martha is down to her last $40 and came to a Disaster Recovery Center looking for aid, and someone to talk to. Martha wants to find work, some clothes, Gas money, and most of all see her dad one more time and find her Grandma. Victims from Hurricane Katrina are pouring into Disaster Recovery centers in Alabama seeking aid.. Crisis Counsler Guy Berry talks with Martha Rogers from Violet LA who's house was completely underwater. Her family members evacuated and are scattered from Alabama to Texas. It has taken her 8 days and she has located everone but her Grandma Adrienne Krass from Araei, LA, who was last reported to be loading up her car to evacuate, and who she has just learned was not able to evacuate and she fears the worse as her home was also completely under water. Her dad a Heart patient remains in a LA hospital in intensive care. She can't get to him and may never be able to see him again. Her family is split up to live with various releative. Martha is one of 7 evacuees staying with her cousin. Her husband is looking for work and is forced to stay with another relative in another town. Martha is down to her last $40 and came to a Disaster Recovery Center looking for aid, and someone to talk to. Martha wants to find work, some clothes, Gas money, and most of all see her dad one more time and find her Grandma.
