Description

A U.S. Navy Vought F-8E Crusader (BuNo 150660) from Fighter Squadron 194 (VF-194) "Red Lightnings" landing aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard (CVA-31). VF-194 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 19 (CVW-19) aboard the Bon Homme Richard for a deployment to Vietnam from 21 April 1965 to 13 January 1966.

The F-8E 150854 was shot down by anti-aircraft artillery over North Vietnam on 28 November 1965. The pilot, Lt.(jg) Frank H. Harrington, ejected and was rescued.
