Description
English: A U.S. Navy Grumman F-14A Tomcat from Fighter Squadron 21 (VF-21) "Free Lancers" is positioned on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Independence (CV-62) on 1 December 1990. VF-21 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 14 (CVW-14) aboard the Independence for a deployment to the Western Pacific and the Indian Ocean from 23 June to 20 December 1990.
