Français : La façade sud de la cathédrale Notre-Dame fut édifié en 1604. De la façade originale il ne subsiste que la partie supérieure, avec l'oculus et son cadre orné, le garde-corps orné d'entrelacs et médaillons, et les pignons des contreforts.
Le garde-corps de la coursive et la partie basse ont été reconstruits à la fin du XVIIè siècle dans le style classique, d'ordre ionique, avec le porche, sous le fronton supporté par les quatre pilastre qui habillent la base massive du contrefort qui soutien le contrefort. Le portail est orné d'un tympan en plein-cintre avec médaillon et godrons. Cette partie est en pierre de Caen, les parties les plus anciennes sont en pierre de Caumont. |
